Community Guidelines
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Pinsvit is a community service to discover events, businesses, and local moments. To keep the service useful and safe, these rules apply to all content, events, business pages, and behaviour on our platform.
1. Eligibility & Safety
- EEA/UK/Australia: 16+ required.
- Outside EEA/UK/Australia: 13+ required (or higher if local law requires).
- If applicable under local law, a parent/guardian must consent for younger users.
2. What’s not allowed (general)
- Illegal content or activity.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or promotion of violence.
- Any content that exploits, abuses, or endangers minors, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). We report CSAM to relevant authorities where required by law.
- Content that encourages or promotes suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII); doxxing or sharing others’ private information (such as home address, phone number, email, or workplace) without a clear legitimate reason and consent.
- Graphic violence or gore posted primarily for shock value or without clear context/warnings.
- Terrorism or extremist propaganda.
- Organising or promoting unlawful, violent, or unsafe activities (for example, events involving weapons, illegal drugs, or targeted harassment).
3. Events, businesses & commerce
- Business claims: do not claim or manage a business listing unless you are the owner, manager, or otherwise authorised to represent it. We may revoke or transfer business pages if we receive valid disputes.
- Fake events: do not create pins for events that do not exist or that are primarily “bait” to trick or scam users.
- Accuracy: if you host or manage an event, you are responsible for keeping the time, location, and key details accurate. If an event is cancelled or moved, update or remove the pin as soon as possible.
- Reviews & ratings: do not post fake reviews for your own business or others (including coordinated positive spam or “review bombing” competitors).
- Prohibited goods and services: do not use events, descriptions, or business pages to advertise or sell illegal or highly regulated goods or services (for example, illegal drugs, weapons, or other prohibited items).
- Customer data: record customers only for bookings with your business, keep notes factual and respectful, and do not import bulk lists of other people’s personal data (such as email or phone lists) or use customer data for unrelated marketing. Pinsvit is not a bulk marketing tool.
- Bookings: do not make bookings you do not intend to keep, book in someone else’s name without their permission, or use booking notes to harass staff or customers. Businesses: do not mark no-shows or block customers without a genuine reason.
- Local use: events and posts should relate to the country where you are currently located. We may limit the ability to create posts or events to your current country and remove content that is clearly unrelated or used to bypass local rules.
4. Deception, IP & spam
- Fraud, scams, impersonation, phishing, or deceptive behaviour.
- Pretending to be an official authority (e.g., police, city council, emergency services) when you are not.
- Spam, link farms, malware distribution, or automated mass posting.
- No deceptive links: do not use links or link shorteners that hide the true destination or lead to harmful sites.
- Copyright and trademarks: post only content you have rights to share. Do not simply copy-paste whole event descriptions, photos, or logos from other platforms or sites without permission.
- Misleading map pins (e.g., fake emergencies, wrong locations, fake closures) that could harm or seriously mislead others are not allowed.
5. AI & synthetic media
- Label AI-generated or significantly edited media where reasonable, especially if it might otherwise be confused with reality. We may add our own labels where we detect AI content.
- Do not use synthetic or out-of-context media to deceive people about real-world events—for example, fake photos of a fire, disaster, or police action at a real location.
- Do not use AI-generated or edited media to depict real, identifiable individuals in misleading, abusive, or sexually explicit ways.
- Do not attempt to bypass safety systems in any AI-powered features we provide (for example, by trying to generate illegal or abusive content).
- AI agents you connect to Pinsvit act for you: these Guidelines apply to everything they do with your account.
6. Civic integrity & emergencies
- No false or misleading pins about disasters, police or emergency activity, or public safety (for example, fake evacuation orders).
- No voter suppression: do not share false information about election dates, locations, eligibility, or voting procedures.
- During sensitive civic or emergency events, we may add warning screens, limit visibility, or require extra context for certain content to reduce harm.
7. Map & location safety
- Do not post real-time locations to stalk, harass, or endanger others.
- Avoid posting others’ precise home addresses or private places without permission or a clear, legitimate reason.
- Sensitive places (for example, domestic violence shelters or certain clinics) may have stricter rules or visibility limits to reduce risk.
- If your safety or someone else’s is at immediate risk, contact local authorities first, then report the content to us.
8. Enforcement, reporting & appeals
- We may hide, remove, or restrict content; limit features; or delete and block accounts that break these rules.
- We may preserve and disclose content or account information when legally required, or where necessary to protect users and enforce our Terms.
- Moderation decisions consider context, intent, local law, and user safety. Repeated or severe violations may lead to stronger measures, including permanent account bans.
- Use the Report button on posts, events, or business pages to flag violations for review. To report illegal content or an intellectual property violation, you can also use our report form.
- If your content or account is restricted and you believe we made a mistake, you can appeal. Follow the instructions in any notice you receive, or send an appeal through our Contact page. Include links/IDs and a brief reason why you think the decision should be changed.
- When we act on your content or account, we tell you why and how to appeal; how moderation and appeals work is described in our Terms.
9. Tips for better pins
- Add clear photos and accurate, concise text.
- Avoid clickbait titles and ALL-CAPS shouting.
- Place your pin as precisely and honestly as possible.
- Update or remove posts and events that are no longer accurate (for example, after an event ends or details change).
